Hans P. Hull, J.D.
Mr. Hull served as the interim chief executive officer and president at Adverum in 2015. He has been with the company since 2011, initially serving as the vice president, legal and corporate development. Throughout his tenure at Adverum, Mr. Hull has worked closely with the founders to lay a strong legal and financial foundation for the company. This included negotiating licensing deals and collaborations, including the Regeneron partnership, and closing multiple rounds of financing. Mr. Hull has nearly 20 years of strategy, business development, legal and intellectual property experience in the life sciences industry. Prior to Adverum, Mr. Hull was the chief executive officer at Orthobond Corporation, a medical device company. His earlier career responsibilities as a principal at JPH Life Science Consulting included serving as a legal and business development consultant for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies such as Second Genome, Inc., and Aprecia Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Hull’s early work in life sciences included various roles as a strategy consultant to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies at ZS Associates, Inc. and as an attorney at Heller Ehrman White & McAullife, LLP. Mr. Hull holds an AB in Chemistry from Princeton University and a JD from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall).
